The PREP blog addresses some of the common problems student-athletes face in the classroom and on the recruiting trail.

PREP fills the gaps in the high school athlete's experience, offering resources such as tutoring, SAT Prep and guided film study in a sports setting. Athletes study alongside other athletes as they work toward their common goal of receiving a college scholarship. Put simply, PREP exists to help the athlete succeed in all walks of life. From the lacrosse goalie with a dream of playing for a prestigious school to the star quarterback with scholarship offers from across the country to the back-up softball pitcher trying to raise her SAT score, or even a student that just needs academic help, PREP helps students grow off the field.

We do this through "relationship-based tutoring". Students learn best when they trust those teaching them. Our doors are always open; we want to go above and beyond to help students succeed whatever their goals may be.

From the Owner

I grew up in Union County and graduated from Weddington High in North Carolina prior to attending the University of South Carolina.  There, I covered over 200 events as a reporter for the Daily Gamecock,, and on the Rivals network.

In the course of covering hundreds of high school athletes, I found the vast majority had ample on-field training. In addition to school coaching staffs, plenty of private strength/conditioning/skills trainers are available for individual instruction. However, I also found a pervasive lack of academic resources given to the athletic community in the Carolinas.
