The Why and the How

Well, It's been a whirlwind of a year.
When I graduated last May, I gave myself about a month and a half to prepare. I knew how to tutor, I understand some about the recruiting process from my time with Rivals, and I had a general sense of the direction I would take PREP -- in both the academic and recruiting avenues.
What I didn't know, I learned and what i learned I tried to remember. Mistakes are unavoidable, but I tried (and still try) to avoid making the same mistake twice. Over time, the general ideas developed into certain action steps.
This blog is one of those action steps. I knew I wanted to do something like this from the beginning, but the timing was not right.
Now it is, so here I am.
Like any good blog, I hope this will be conversational and interesting, but also provide good information about academics, recruiting, and high school athletics in general.
There are a handful of topics I know I'll cover. These mostly revolve around misconceptions and misunderstandings that I find are far too common in the recruiting process. These will include extensive information on core GPA calculation, SAT requirements, sliding scale, recruiting jargon, and so on.
But I also don't claim to have the answers. When I don't know something, I'll learn it and pass it along. Some topics will present themselves fairly easily and be of universal importance. Others will be much less broad. I'll try to keep them all well-organized right here.
As always, do not hesitate to reach out with questions or suggestions.
